Burkina Faso Launches Digital “Travel Form” for Border Procedures

The government of Burkina Faso has announced the launch of an online platform, “travel form,” to digitize police formalities for travelers.

From April 8, 2026, all entry and exit procedures will be completed online, replacing manual forms at Ouagadougou International Airport.

Authorities say the reform aims to reduce waiting times, streamline passenger processing, and modernize migration control.

Travel agencies and airlines have been urged to inform passengers ahead of the rollout, as the country moves toward full digitalization of administrative services.
