Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, has reaffirmed the National Assembly’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation between Nigeria and Morocco.
Speaking during a meeting in Abuja with a delegation from the Nigeria-Morocco Trade and Development Forum, Jibrin emphasized the importance of expanding trade, encouraging investment, and creating stronger business partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.
The discussions focused on initiatives aimed at deepening bilateral economic relations and unlocking new opportunities for cooperation. Jibrin noted that Nigeria values its longstanding relationship with Morocco and stressed that greater economic collaboration should translate into tangible benefits for citizens of both nations.
He assured the delegation that the Senate would continue to support policies and mechanisms that promote investment and cross-border trade.
The forum representatives also outlined plans for an upcoming economic meeting in Marrakech, which will bring together business leaders, investors, and government officials from both countries to explore partnership opportunities and advance concrete economic projects.
