Côte d’Ivoire has raised CFA 53.181 billion through a 364-day Treasury Bill auction on the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) financial market, surpassing its initial target of CFA 50 billion. According to UMOA-Titres, the operation attracted total bids of CFA 82.681 billion, representing a 165.36% subscription rate, highlighting strong investor confidence in Ivorian government securities. The Treasury accepted 64.32% of the bids received, achieving a coverage rate of 106.36% for the amount ultimately raised.
The Treasury Bills, each with a nominal value of CFA 1 million, will be settled on August 5, 2026, and mature on August 3, 2027, giving them a maturity of 364 days. The auction recorded a weighted average yield of 3.90%, with a marginal rate of 3.9987% and a weighted average rate of 3.7539%. A total of seven investors submitted 14 bids, with all successful offers coming from Côte d’Ivoire, while CFA 4.5 billion in bids from Burkina Faso were not retained.
