Guinea-Bissau has raised CFA15 billion on the West African regional public securities market after investors submitted bids worth more than CFA40.8 billion, representing a coverage rate of 272.47%. The operation included a 364-day Treasury bill and a three-year Treasury bond. The government accepted the full CFA15 billion offered, with the securities maturing in August 2027 and August 2029 respectively.
The one-year Treasury bill attracted CFA12 billion in bids, with CFA6.9 billion accepted, while the three-year bond received CFA28.86 billion in bids, of which CFA8.09 billion was retained. Benin and Côte d’Ivoire were among the main participating investors, while Togo, Mali and Senegal also submitted bids. The operation was conducted on August 11, with a value date of August 12, according to UMOA-Titres.
