Ghana’s President Mahama Begins Five-Day Working Visit to South Korea

Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama will undertake a working visit to South Korea from March 10 to 14, 2026, to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.  

During the trip, he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung and meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Woo Won-shik.  

The visit will include several diplomatic, economic and academic engagements aimed at expanding cooperation in trade, industry and investment. 

President Mahama’s itinerary also features participation in a ship christening ceremony at a Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan and an address at a graduation ceremony at Yonsei University.  

He will also meet with members of the Ghanaian community living in South Korea and attend a dinner with business leaders and investors, as part of efforts to deepen bilateral ties and promote economic partnerships.
