Former Guinea Presidency Communications Chief Admits Misconduct After Dismissal

Former Director of Communication at the Presidency of Guinea, Moussa Condé, has publicly addressed his dismissal in a video, admitting to serious professional misconduct.

Removed by decree and replaced by Oumar Barry, Condé said he attempted to leak confidential information to bloggers and maintained contacts with members of the former regime—actions he described as “unworthy” of his position.

In the video, Condé also acknowledged questionable practices within his office, including internal tensions over bonuses, inappropriate conduct, and attempts to gain personal advantages through external contacts.

He said an intercepted phone call involving financial transactions raised suspicions that contributed to his removal, adding that the decision by authorities was justified and that he fully accepts responsibility for his actions.
