The Senegalese Football Federation has filed an appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport to contest the decision by the Confederation of African Football awarding Morocco a 3–0 victory in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The appeal, officially registered in Lausanne, also targets the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, with Senegal seeking the annulment of the CAF Appeals Board ruling issued on March 17 and requesting to be declared tournament winners.
The dispute stems from a disciplinary case following the final held in Morocco, where CAF’s Appeals Committee overturned an earlier decision and ruled that Senegal had forfeited the match due to regulatory violations.
In its submission, the FSF also requested additional time to file its full appeal, citing incomplete reasoning in the contested decision.
A CAS arbitration panel will now be constituted to examine the case, with proceedings expected to remain confidential until a final ruling is delivered.
