The Ivorian government has repurchased CFA414.93 billion in Treasury Bonds and Similar Bonds on the regional financial market, according to UMOA-Titres.
The operation, valued on August 11, involved three short-term securities maturing between October and December 2026, each carrying a fixed interest rate of 5.50%.
The repurchased amounts were CFA138.03 billion for the 75-day bonds, CFA138.25 billion for the 89-day bonds and CFA138.64 billion for the 117-day bonds.
All bids submitted were accepted, giving the operation a 100% coverage and absorption rate. The weighted average yields stood at 2.50%, 2.75% and 3% respectively for the three maturities.
The operation attracted participation exclusively from investors in Côte d’Ivoire, while the other UMOA member states — Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo — recorded no subscriptions.
