A Nigerian social media influencer known as KC Luxury has been arrested in Lagos over alleged links to an international cocaine trafficking network. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said 184.5 kilograms of cocaine, worth nearly $28 million and allegedly destined for the UK, was seized at a Lagos courier facility on August 3. Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, 49, was arrested 10 days later at Murtala Mohammed International Airport while preparing to board a business-class flight to Paris.
The NDLEA alleges that Micheal was the Nigerian “arrowhead” of a network moving cocaine from South America through Nigeria to Europe and Asia. Another suspect, 33-year-old Lawal Mujab Kehinde, who allegedly worked for a logistics company used to transport the drugs, was also arrested. Authorities said suspected members of the network have been detained in the UK, while investigations continue. Neither Micheal nor Kehinde has been charged in court or publicly responded to the allegations.
