Côte d’Ivoire Raises 66 Billion CFA Francs on Regional Market

Côte d’Ivoire has raised 66 billion CFA francs through an issue of Treasury bills and bonds on the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) public securities market. The operation, which targeted 60 billion CFA francs, attracted 130.29 billion CFA francs in bids, representing a coverage rate of 217.15%. The securities included a 364-day Treasury bill and three- and five-year Treasury bonds. 

The Ivorian Treasury accepted 66 billion CFA francs, with weighted average yields of 4.06% for the one-year bill, 6.48% for the three-year bond and 7.11% for the five-year bond. Côte d’Ivoire accounted for the largest share of accepted subscriptions, while Senegal also participated, offering 1 billion CFA francs on the one-year bill, 7.5 billion on the three-year bond and 5.8 billion on the five-year bond.
