Armed Attacks Kill Over a Dozen Farmers in Nigeria’s Plateau State

More than a dozen farmers have been killed in a series of armed raids on seven villages in the Mangu area of Plateau State, northern Nigeria, according to local officials.

Several people were also injured, while about 3,000 residents fled their homes as attackers looted crops and food supplies.

The violence comes amid ongoing clashes between farming communities and Fulani herders, who migrate southward with their livestock.

Armed groups are increasingly exploiting these tensions to launch attacks, adding to the insecurity in the region.

Just last month, over 40 farmers were killed in similar assaults across Plateau State.
