Burkina Faso’s President Traoré Assures Children Terrorism War Will Soon End

Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has expressed confidence that the fight against terrorism in the country will soon be over.

Speaking to 408 children at the first edition of the Faso Mêbo camp, he said the initiative aims to prepare future citizens of integrity by instilling values of solidarity, humility, and responsibility.

The ten-day camp exposed participants to civic and military education, visual and performing arts, construction skills, and eco-citizen activities, with emphasis on respect for the State, the common good, and national unity.

As part of their contribution, the children left behind a grove of fruit trees, a 300 m² paved parade ground, benches, and several artistic works at the camp site.

Traoré urged the campers to share the lessons they had learned with their peers, stressing that building the future of Burkina Faso requires social cohesion and commitment to the higher interests of the Nation.
