Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno has arrived in Paris for a working visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations with France, including economic cooperation and regional and international affairs.
Déby is scheduled to meet French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace on October 13, following an invitation from the French leader. The discussions are expected to examine ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries and identify areas of shared interest.
Regional and international developments are also expected to feature on the agenda, as N’Djamena and Paris continue diplomatic engagement on issues affecting their respective interests.
Before departing Chad on Monday, Déby was seen off at Hassan Djamous International Airport by Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, senior military officials, government ministers and members of the presidential administration.
The visit offers both governments an opportunity to review their bilateral partnership and discuss future cooperation, particularly in economic affairs and wider regional issues.
