Chad’s President Reappoints Allah Maye Halina as Prime Minister

Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno has reappointed Allah Maye Halina as Prime Minister, shortly after his resignation following the installation of the fourth legislature.

In a statement, Halina expressed gratitude for the renewed trust, vowing to “do everything in his power not to disappoint or betray this confidence entrusted to him.

Acknowledging the significance of his role, he emphasised the need to manage government affairs effectively, particularly in areas of development and security.

He noted that as Prime Minister, coordinating ministerial action and ensuring the well-being of the population remains critical and a pivotal responsibility in maintaining peace and security stability.
