Ghana’s Vice President, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has resumed public duties following a recent period of ill health.
Returning to Ghana on Thursday, May 22, she expressed gratitude and enthusiasm about being back to continue contributing to the nation’s progress.
She highlighted the importance of collective effort in addressing the country’s challenges and affirmed her readiness to get back to work for Ghana’s development.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang also acknowledged the wide support she received during her recovery—from medical professionals and government leaders to family, friends, and the general public.
She extended special appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for his swift response during a critical moment, crediting him with ensuring timely and effective action. She described her return as a moment of deep gratitude and renewed commitment.
