Mali will host the second Bamako Expo for Defence and Security (BAMEX) from November 9 to 13, bringing together defence manufacturers and military delegations from more than 40 African countries.
The event, organised by Turkish company The Peak Defence, will take place at the Bamako Exhibition and Show Centre under the patronage of Mali’s presidency and Ministry of Defence.
More than 20 Turkish defence companies, including Baykar, ASELSAN and ROKETSAN, are expected to participate, alongside exhibitors from China, Germany, Sudan and other countries.
The exhibition will showcase drones, counter-drone systems, surveillance technologies, armoured vehicles, tactical communications and border security equipment. Live demonstrations are also planned.
BAMEX aims to connect defence suppliers with African military and government officials as Sahel countries seek technologies to address armed groups, border security and intelligence-gathering challenges.
For Mali, the event provides an opportunity to explore equipment and security solutions for its armed forces.
