The Nigerien Police and National Guard have received a new batch of vehicles, uniforms, and protective gear aimed at strengthening their operational capacity.
The latest supply, acquired with state funds, follows recent deliveries of transport vehicles and the inauguration of new security facilities in Matankari and Dogon Kiria.
The new equipment includes troop transport and tanker trucks, work uniforms, rangers, helmets, beds, hangars, and bulletproof vests.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the investment underscores Niger’s commitment to enhancing the technical and operational efficiency of its security forces in the fight against terrorism and criminal networks.
Similar initiatives are expected to continue in the coming days under the leadership of Minister of State Major General Mohamed Toumba.
