Senegal’s Finance Minister Cheikh Diba and IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening financial cooperation between Senegal and the International Monetary Fund.
The two met in Washington on Tuesday to advance discussions toward finalizing a new cooperation program.

According to an official statement, both parties agreed on the next steps, including an IMF Executive Board meeting in the coming weeks to address the issue of misreporting and review the proposed program.
An IMF mission is expected in Dakar next week to complete the ongoing technical work. The meeting marks a renewed phase of trust and collaboration between Senegal and the IMF.
