The Senegalese government has engaged in talks with Korean company DONEWON to advance its Agenda 2050 goals by promoting local seafood processing and strengthening the fisheries value chain.
President Basirou Diomaye Faye received the delegation, led by DONEWON’s Vice President Myoung Lee, in Dakar on Monday, as part of efforts to diversify the country’s economic partnerships.
DONEWON, a specialist in the fishing industry, pledged support for sustainable development through investments aligned with the 2050 Agenda.
This move the government says, reflects the new administration’s proactive economic diplomacy, following Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko’s recent tour of China, where multiple strategic agreements were signed in sectors such as industry, infrastructure, energy, and transportation.
