Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has announced new appointments within his government, focusing on the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security and the Ministry of Hydraulics and Sanitation.
During the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, President Faye promoted ten senior police officers to new positions.
These appointments are expected to strengthen the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security’s capabilities.
In the Ministry of Hydraulics and Sanitation, Séni Diene, a Hydrogeological Engineer, has been appointed Director General of the National Office for Sanitation (ONAS), replacing Cheikh Dieng.
Diene’s appointment is anticipated to bring expertise and innovation to the agency’s efforts in improving water management and sanitation services in Senegal.
