In the 2024 general elections in Ghana, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar and leader of the New Force movement, emerged as the most successful candidate among smaller party contenders.
Cheddar secured 84,478 votes, representing 0.75% of the total votes cast.
This performance is a notable milestone for smaller parties in an election dominated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Alan Kyerematen: 31,202 votes (0.28%)
The election saw former President John Dramani Mahama of the NDC declared as the president-elect with 6,328,397 votes (56.55%), followed by NPP’s Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who received 4,657,304 votes (41.61%).
Cheddar’s campaign, centered on economic empowerment, innovation, and social transformation, particularly resonated with young voters.
His performance reflects a growing appetite for alternative political voices in Ghana, positioning him as a rising figure in the nation’s political landscape.
