The Ivorian government has launched a 5.5 billion FCFA initiative aimed at empowering over 45,000 young people through green entrepreneurship and digital transformation.
Prime Minister Robert Mambé unveiled the Youth Economic Empowerment Project in Abidjan on Wednesday, highlighting its role in fostering innovation and economic growth.
The project, co-financed by the Ivorian government, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), will establish 35 modern digital centers across schools, universities, and town halls. GGGI’s country representative, Ms. Olala Vieyra, emphasized that the initiative will provide young people with essential tools, innovation spaces, and entrepreneurial support in the green economy sector.
Developed 18 months ago with guidance from the Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalization, the program seeks to instill an entrepreneurial mindset among Ivorian youth, equipping them for a future driven by sustainability and technology.
