Ghana Eyes Regional Trade Dominance with Bold Business Reforms Ahead of IATF2025

Ghana is stepping up efforts to position itself as a major player in intra-African trade ahead of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025).

The country aims to leverage the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement to strengthen its role in regional commerce and industrial development.

At the IATF2025 Business Roadshow held in Accra, government representatives emphasized Ghana’s strategic vision to become a hub for trade and innovation across the continent.

Delivering remarks on behalf of Ghana’s Minister of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, through her representative, reiterated the government’s commitment to creating a thriving business climate.

Plans include major investments in infrastructure, targeted support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and expanded access to African markets—key pillars of the country’s AfCFTA strategy.

These initiatives are expected to not only boost Ghana’s trade potential but also enhance its readiness for the IATF2025, where African nations will showcase trade and investment opportunities.
