Ghana Sets Dates for National Economic Dialogue to Tackle Economic Challenges

Ghana’s new government has announced that the National Economic Dialogue will take place on March 3-4, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The dialogue aims to provide a platform for Ghanaians to directly address the country’s economic challenges and contribute to policy solutions for sustainable growth.

According to a statement from the presidency, President John Dramani Mahama will lead the discussions under the theme, “Rethinking Ghana: Building Together the Economy We Want.” The forum seeks to foster broad participation in shaping economic policies and structural reforms to revitalize Ghana’s economy.

The dialogue will bring together industry leaders, private sector representatives, academics, public policy experts, and civil society organizations to discuss key issues, including:

Macroeconomic stabilization and transformation, Infrastructure development and structural reforms, Private sector-led growth and investment opportunities, Governance and anti-corruption measures.

A major focus will be on restoring good governance and tackling corruption, which has been blamed for much of Ghana’s economic and administrative challenges.

The government hopes that insights from the dialogue will help shape policies that improve business opportunities and enhance living conditions across the country.
