Ghana’s President Visits Zambia to Boost Digital and Regional Integration

Ghana is strengthening  its bilateral cooperation with Zambia as President John Dramani Mahama begins a three-day official visit to the southern African country from February 4 to 6, 2026.

The visit, announced by the Ghanaian Presidency on February 1, will see the President accompanied by the First Lady and is aimed at advancing a shared vision of a more integrated and prosperous Africa.

A key moment of the trip will be President Mahama’s address to the Zambian National Assembly, where he is expected to outline priorities centered on improved transport infrastructure, stronger trade connections, and the free movement of people and goods across the continent.

Beyond political engagement, the visit will also highlight Ghana’s growing strengths in digital innovation, with plans to present the country’s digital technologies and fintech services to Zambian government bodies and private sector actors.

This initiative forms part of Accra’s  strategy to promote trade, innovation, and regional cooperation, reinforcing Ghana’s commitment to continental integration and deeper economic and technological linkages between African nations.
