Senegal Launches AI System for Judicial Archives

Senegal has begun work on an artificial intelligence system designed to digitise and manage judicial archives at the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court.

The project is being developed with support from the United Nations Development Programme and South Korea, with equipment including an NVIDIA DGX Spark provided to support local operations.

The court will digitise and integrate judicial records, including court decisions, for use in developing and testing the AI application.

Staff will also receive training on the new technology and procedures for managing the digital archives.

The project builds on Senegal’s recently launched e-Justice platform and could eventually be expanded to courts across the country.
