The U.S. Embassy in Ghana has announced the successful extradition of Joseph Badu Boateng, also known as “Dada Joe Remix,” to the United States, where he faces multiple fraud charges.
The extradition follows close collaboration between the FBI, U.S. Diplomatic Security Service special agents, and Ghanaian authorities.
Boateng is accused of leading a fraud ring that exploited romance and inheritance scams to defraud American victims of several million dollars.
His indictment security experts say marks a significant step in ongoing efforts to combat transnational cybercrime and financial fraud.
