The Constitutional Council of Chad is undergoing a three-day training session in N’Djamena, organized from August 20 to 22 by the European Center for Electoral Support (ECES) under the Parliamentary and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE).
The program aims to strengthen the capacity of judges and assistants in jurisdictional drafting, a crucial skill for ensuring clear, reasoned, and transparent decisions that reinforce public confidence in constitutional justice and the democratic process.
Officials emphasized that well-structured legal decisions are key to guaranteeing rights, strengthening legitimacy, and enhancing acceptance of electoral outcomes.
Opening the session, Council President Jean-Bernard Padaré noted that the training will improve the technical quality of rulings while consolidating the institution’s credibility and independence.
Organizers expressed confidence that participants will emerge better prepared to uphold constitutional principles and contribute to the protection of democracy and the rule of law in Chad.
